The Delhi government's School of Specialised Excellence will have an auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 people, a 1,000-seat open amphitheatre, a luxurious world-class semi-Olympic size swimming pool with heating and cooling facilities, an indoor squash and table tennis court, basketball and volleyball courts, and a luxurious world-class semi-Olympic size swimming pool with heating and cooling facilities.
According to officials, the school, which is being built at a cost of Rs 39.73 crore, will be ready in a year and will provide all world-class educational and sporting facilities to its students.
On Thursday, Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister, lay the foundation stone for this School of Specialized Excellence in Mehram Nagar. This school's new building has been created with the children's whole development in mind. "This school building will be unlike any other, and the entire school premises will be included in the children's learning process," Mr Sisodia added.
"It is our obligation to offer all facilities to schools," Mr Sisodia continued, "but a successful school is defined not just by a great facility, but also by the hard work of its pupils and staff." "All of the classrooms will be outfitted with the most up-to-date teaching equipment. Smart classrooms would be ideal for digital learning and would provide all of the necessary amenities for pupils. There will be eight labs at this school. Each of the four floors of the school building will contain two labs. All of the labs will be equipped with the most up-to-date technology.
"Along with studies, world-class sports facilities will be built on school grounds to promote children's physical development and stimulate their enthusiasm in sports. The school's roof will be used to construct a basketball court, tennis court, and volleyball court, which will be highly distinctive.
