Coldplay Concert: 1,000 Cops To Be Deployed



Mumbai: Nearly 1,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure law and order during the Coldplay concert in Navi Mumbai, the police announced on Friday.

The British rock band, as part of their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour,' will perform three shows at DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21.

An estimated 45,000 fans are expected to attend the event, prompting extensive security arrangements, according to a release by the Navi Mumbai police.

The release stated that 70 officers and 434 police personnel will be stationed inside the stadium for security, while an additional 21 officers and 440 personnel will be deployed outside the venue each day.

To manage traffic flow, heavy vehicles from Uran, Nhavasheva, Pune, and Thane will be prohibited in the area on concert days. Similarly, the Thane city police have issued directives restricting the movement of heavy vehicles within their jurisdiction.

Designated parking areas have been arranged for attendees, the release further noted.
