IND vs AUS 5th Test Day 3, Live Score:Australia reached 71/3 by the lunch break, with Usman Khawaja and Travis Head unbeaten at the crease as they are chasing a target of 162 runs,Prasidh Krishna picked up all three wickets. Earlier, Scott Boland picked up six wickets to reduce India to 157 runs in the third innings of the fifth Test between India and Australia in Sydney on Sunday. Australia need 162 runs to make the series 3-1.
A valiant effort from the seamers sans an injured Jasprit Bumrah meant India walked away with a narrow four-run first-innings lead. With a few demons holding around the pitch, India opted for aggression against the new-ball. Against tumbing wickets, the visitors lifted the lead to 145 by stumps for the loss of six wickets. Rishabh Pant’s sensational 33-ball 61 embellished the innings as Australia were left liftless for that particular phase while Scott Boland snapped the top-order again.
India will, however, be fretting over the availability of Bumrah with the ball as they attempt to raise the lead by at least 60-80 runs more when Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja walk out to bat on Sunday.
