D Gukesh wins World Chess Championship at 18

New Delhi:India's chess prodigy D Gukesh has made history by becoming the youngest-ever world chess champion. On Thursday, he defeated China’s Ding Liren in the FIDE World Championship 2024, earning the prestigious title. At just 18 years old, Gukesh has become the youngest undisputed classical chess world champion, a remarkable milestone in the sport's history.

As the nation celebrates his extraordinary achievement, social media is abuzz with congratulatory messages, including heartfelt posts from fans and prominent celebrities lauding the young champion’s incredible feat.

Mahesh Babu shared a picture of D Gukesh on his Instagram Stories. The South star's caption read, “Congrats, Gukesh. Your hard work and dedication have made history and inspired countless young minds. This is a huge win for India!”
