IIT Bombay silver 1995 jubilee batch pledges Rs 20.3 crore to legacy project

On Sunday, with the Silver Jubilee batch of 1995 pledging Rs. 20.3 crore towards the Legacy initiative, IIT Bombay held its Alumni Day celebrations in virtual mode. A Legacy Project is a project embraced by the batch to mark its Silver Jubilee anniversary, to strengthen the Institute and its associates, as a way to give back to the alma mater and leave behind a lasting legacy and commemoration of their silver jubilee reunion.

The event witnessed an MoU exchange with Ashank Desai, an IIT Bombay alumnus (Class of 1974) and founder, Mastek/Majesco Vice-Chairman and MD, for a financial donation of Rs. 15 crore to the IIT Bombay Center for Policy Studies.

I am pleased to contribute to the direction of IIT Bombay to make the Center for Policy Studies a leading policy institution. This center will contribute to the need for talent, study and guidance from India to achieve a holistic approach to policing.
