On Tuesday, state medical education minister Vishwas Sarang indicated that the state government would give the option of studying medicine in Hindi. “At the earliest opportunity, we will organise a committee to guarantee that medical education courses (material) be prepared in Hindi as well. We shall begin medical courses in Hindi in the near future,” he declared on the occasion of Hindi Day.
The first-year foundation course of MBBS will include lectures on RSS founder K B Hedgewar, Jana Sangh leader Deendayal Upadhyaya, Swami Vivekananda, and B R Ambedkar, according to Sarang.
He had stated that the decision was made to instil social and medical ethics in students. The 'Ramcharitmanas' will be taught as an elective subject under the philosophy discipline in the art stream to first-year students of graduation degrees, according to MP Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav.
