National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently launched a new website for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) exam to enable aspirants to apply for UG admissions at cuet.nta.nic.in. The website will host information bulletin, application and registration links allowing students to register for the exam and appear in the CUET UG 2025. The NTA is expected to soon begin registrations for the CUET UG exam, a window for students to get admissions to central, state, private, and deemed universities.

The website does not currently have any new posts; it lists the names of central, state, and private universities that accept CUET scores.

CUET-UG is reverting to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format in 2025 to streamline the examination process. Under this initiative, students will be allowed to appear for any subject irrespective of the subjects studied in class XII. The CBT mode minimises the risks associated with paper-based exams, such as leakage, loss of answer sheets, and manual errors in evaluation. The digitised format ensures quick and accurate assessment, reducing processing time. Students also don't have to fill in information, which usually takes a lot of time before they start writing the exam.

“While NTA used the hybrid format last year, the decision to move entirely to CBT mode this year is driven by the need to minimise human intervention in the examination process. Excessive human involvement can introduce potential biases and errors, impacting the fairness of the assessment,” says Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, chairman, UGC.
