Admissions are now open for vacant seats in pre-primary and primary classes across all government-run Sarvodaya Vidyalayas in Delhi for the 2025-26 academic session. The admission process began on April 9 and will follow a first-come, first-served basis. Delhi is home to over 400 Sarvodaya schools, and the complete list is available on the official website: edudel.nic.in.
Sarvodaya School Admission Guidelines 2025
The Directorate of Education has instructed all Sarvodaya school heads to maintain a maximum class size of 40 students in pre-primary and primary sections.
Seats of students currently enrolled but absent for a long period will not be deemed vacant unless there is official confirmation of their admission to another school.
Seats of students who have been absent since the last academic year, or whose admissions are already confirmed elsewhere, will be considered vacant.
Transfer requests from students currently enrolled in other Sarvodaya schools will be given priority.
Every school must display vacancy details clearly at:
The main gate
Outside the principal’s office
On helpdesks and notice boards
